hey paul, you did indeed do a great job last event. when i rode along i was like whoa... when you were attacking the curves on the way out as you had been much more tentative at earlier events. you were very smooth and really strung the elements together well. :)

i too had a problem trusting the car on the way out at the start, but the grip was there and we just had to use it. in fact, i'd argue we could have been flat out from the start to the 3-cone slalom with perhaps just a lift (as i always did) before the 3-cone slalom as the car went over the metal transition.

with a better line and discipline in the offsets and perhaps a shift to 3rd before the slalom jog right before the finish, i'm sure we could knocked off another second. :)

after our run heat as i was walking to the truck to check out preliminary results mike burg was jogging back to me and told me i had a cone on my last run. that surprised me as corey didn't mention it, but i've seen lots of cones come and go when i audit the results with the time-writer sheets.

what i took away from the event:
* we need to focus more on our position and line because the car's grip is nuts and we need to make better use it.
* i really suck at offsets/transitions as i don't look ahead well through those elements.
* i was really stoked you made such a great breakthrough in your driving and that we beat dan handily. :)
